What is the Wagyu organization?

Wagyu is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) which was officially launched by a community of Beefy.Finance maximalists on September 20, 2021. Wagyu is the first ever "sub-DAO" (put in glossary) and was created specifically to serve the Beefy.Finance DAO via the creation of DeFi's first Interest Bearing Token and (maybe we save IBT's for later - do not want to give away all the secret sauce)

Wagyu has three goals: (1) engineer vaults to enable the minting of IBTs in the mooBarn, (2) to build tools which increase the understanding and value of Beefy.Finance's token (BIFI) across all chains, and (3) to act as third-party historians to capture the history and stories of the Beefy.Finance DAO as they unfold via the releasing of our Thunder Milk APY-boosting NFTs.

As of its launch in September 2021, WAGYU has: (links need to be updated for Wagyu, below is listed on the Asana and as tasks that need to be done prior, during and following the launch of Wagyu)

  • Earned endorsement and support from Beefy.Finance (we need to get their support maybe via grants)

  • Held airdrop event with Alchemix, Alpha Finance Labs

  • Added official MoonPots sponsored farm

  • Established partnership with Beefy.Finance

  • Maintained the lowest swap fee of 0.2% (0.22% for limit orders), and most diverse farms on the Fantom network (decide what our little pitch is gunna be)

  • Been fully audited by Certik

  • Made a bridge for WAGYU across all the chains that support BIFI

  • Been listed on CEX, Hotbit whats other CEX

  • Supports Coinbase Wallet - Add more wallets

  • Became the top TVL holder for IBT's tranches we could make atricypto IBT's this could get insane. The lending keeps earning.

  • Help Beefy get to 10B TVL
